What words can accurately describe this “featured project”? 

Dream backyard?  Fantasy Golf Land?  Par 3 Heaven?  As the pictures illustrate, words alone can’t accurately describe it. 

What it is, is a full-grown par 3 hole, complete with waste bunkers, greenside sand bunkers, and a 3300 square foot Tiff Poly Green.  It was designed with 2 distinct tee boxes that measure 78 and 128 yards, and plays into a prevailing ocean breeze.  To make it complete, STI added an adjacent 1700 square foot NP50® Nylon Practice Green so our client could hone his chipping and putting skills.

The waste areas are comprised of nearly 80 tons of compacted, crushed shell rock.  The bunker sand was specially ordered from the West Coast of Florida and is known as the best, and whitest bunker sand available anywhere.  The Zoysia SoftLawn® apron and approach fairway replicates chipping and pitching situations that all golfers face at their local clubs on a daily basis. 

The Design/Sales team at STI worked closely with our client, and came up with a plan that would not only provide for a fantastic golfing experience, but also a maintenance and worry free environment.  Our installation team went above and beyond in crafting everything from the 2-tiered green to the subtle transitions between the shell rock, Zoysia SoftLawn®, and the bunker sand.
