USGA - When the USGA began planning an exhibit for the upcoming US Open at Bethpage they knew who to call - STI.
Located inside the American Express tent, the display chronicles how the speed of greens has changed over the years. Three different nylon surfaces were manufactured by STI to specifically meet the speed requests of the Association.
Professionally installed by STI partner, Elite Synthetic Surfaces, the greens measure 6, 10 and 14 on the stimpmeter. The greens make up a key part of an interactive and educational experience that fans will take pleasure in, throughout the week.

STI holds annual Distributor Conference in Marietta Georgia. With about 90 attendees, STI Distributors toured the new Manufacturing plant in Dalton, Georgia. Educational sessions included current enhancements in synthetic turf and installation products in cooperation with the environmental “green” movement. The availability and phase in of lead-free synthetic turf products, most recent HIC and G-Max testing on playground installations and review of new infill available which reduce surface temperatures.
Other topics included sales, marketing, a design and layout seminar relative to short game facilities as well as updated information on synthetic multi-game fields, overall sporting applications, Game Courts and lawn applications. A Poly Tee Line material was introduced – STI’s EZTee® is a nylon product.

STI wows the crowd at the 2009 PGA Show. With a nine hole putting course “Challenge” designed by STI’s own Rob Farley, the putting course was created from STI’s exclusive NP50® putting surface surrounded by SoftLawn®. With scorecard in hand, PGA Professionals were surely challenged with the layout and admired the true roll of the surface.
Daily winners of the “Challenge” received a 4’x12’ Modular putting green of NP50® - the putting surface endorsed by David Leadbetter.

Pioneer installs putting green replicating 7th green at Pebble Beach, utilizing NP50® putting surface, 2,000 feet of SoftLawn®® Zoysia, an EZ Tee® driving range facility.
Two new PGA Tour Superstoresopened Frisco, TX and Plano, TX, both northern suburbs of Dallas.
The Plano, TX location encompasses 2,800 square foot short game facility with Tiff polypropylene sand-filled chipping green, bunker, and four EZ Tee® chipping stations. The entire area is framed by SoftLawn®® Zoysia. 2,300 square foot putting green facilitated with NP50®.
The Frisco, TX store highlights a 1,750 square foot NP50® nylon putting green including a putter fitting green. The Frisco location’s short game area also includes four EZ Tee® chipping stations.
