Synthetic Turf International Completes Arizona State University Project
SoftLawn® Turf Means Grass Always Greener at Campus Children’s Center

August 25, 2005, Jupiter, FL—Synthetic Turf International (STI), a global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic putting greens and related synthetic surfaces, recently provided synthetic turf for an all-purpose play area at Arizona State University’s (“ASU”) Campus Children’s Center.  The project was completed and installed by Scottsdale-based Synthetic Turf Company.  Located on the main campus, the Campus Children’s Center day-care facility caters to children of ASU faculty and staff. The Center is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs and is fully licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services.

STI completed the project, utilizing its distinctive SoftLawn® synthetic turf solution. SoftLawn® is a naturalistic, lifelike synthetic turf used in play areas and playground applications.  Materials used in SoftLawn® are environmentally responsible in application and disposability.  Virtually maintenance free, it requires no chemical treatment, making the human contact and ground water contamination concerns inherent with real grass a non-issue.  Children of ASU students, faculty and staff benefit from SoftLawn®’s completely safe construction and shock absorbing characteristics.

Commenting on the project Synthetic Turf International President William Campbell states, “For years shredded tires, sand and mulch were the only available options to real grass. With SoftLawn® we bring the University and thereby its children and parents a synthetic solution that works.  Kids love it.”  Plans are already underway to expand the SoftLawn® area at the Center.  The 2,500 square foot project is budgeted for the 2006 school year.
