Synthetic Turf International Completes Performance Center
360 Health Club Adds State of the Art Training Facility
Reseda, California
October 5, 2005, Jupiter, FL—Synthetic Turf International (STI), a global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic putting greens and related synthetic surfaces, recently facilitated the installation of a performance center at Reseda, California’s, 360 Health Club. The project, located at 18420 Hart Street in Reseda was completed in conjunction with STI’s Southern California distributor, Pioneer Golf, Inc.
Created as part of the club’s million dollar renovation, the new performance center encompasses 2,500 square feet of space formerly used for raquetball. The center was designed for serious high school and collegiate athletes who intend to make a career of their chosen sport and therefore, desire specialized individual training. The center and its highly trained staff provide education and training in sports such as football, baseball and soccer while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Highly specialized training maximizes athletes’ performance through strengthening and increased speed and agility. Injury prevention to promote career longevity is also key to the training program.
The Club’s goal for utilizing STI turf was to replicate the turf used in typical collegiate and professional sporting venues. After extensive research and testing, the Club’s decision makers selected a turf STI traditionally utilizes for synthetic lawns as fringe. The longer fringe turf is realistic and lifelike. Commenting on the project, Synthetic Turf International President William Campbell states, “We are excited to be involved in an innovative project such as this. Our athletic surfaces are designed to be naturalistic in both playability and from an aesthetic point of view. This is the perfect venue to showcase this.”
