Synthetic Turf International Completes Education Facilities Project
Star of the Sea Schools Get Two Multi-Purpose Play Areas
Honolulu, Hawaii
November 1, 2005, Jupiter, FL—Synthetic Turf International (STI), a global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic putting greens and related synthetic surfaces, today announced it recently facilitated two multi-purpose play areas for Star of the Sea Schools in Honolulu, Hawaii. The project was installed by STI distributor, Putting Greens of America.
The two play areas total 6,400 square feet and serve a variety of activities and functions for the school’s toddler and early learning centers. Located at 4470 Aliikoa Street in Honolulu, Hawaii, Star of the Sea has an enrollment of approximately 300 children in grades kindergarten through eighth in addition to an early learning center. Commenting on the project, Synthetic Turf International President William Campbell states, “We enjoy facilitating projects that benefit children. Our synthetic turf provides aesthetically pleasing, entirely safe play areas for children of all ages.”
The project was completed utilizing STI’s distinctive SoftLawn® synthetic turf solution. SoftLawn® is a naturalistic, lifelike synthetic turf used in play area and playground applications. Materials used in SoftLawn® are environmentally responsible in application and disposability. Virtually maintenance free, it requires no chemical treatment, making the human contact and ground water contamination concerns inherent with real grass a non-issue.
