Synthetic Turf International Completes Baseball Facility Makeover Colorado Rockies Renovate Spring Training Complex

Tucson, Arizona

February 7, 2007, Jupiter, FL—Synthetic Turf International (“STI”), a global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic surfaces, recently completed renovations of the Colorado Rockies spring training complex and batting cages in Tucson, Arizona.  The project was completed in conjunction with Tucson-based Aztec Flooring.

The 2,640 square foot renovation project was completed with STI’s synthetic turf product, Arena Turf 250.  STI was first contacted by the City of Tucson in October 2006.  Impressed with Arena Turf’s aesthetics, functionality and playability, the City incorporated Arena Turf into the project’s specifications.  The project marks the first renovation of the complex’s batting cage turf in 14 years.

“Rockies’ baseball plays an important role in Tucson’s economy, drawing both residents and visitors alike. We’re pleased to be a part of the ‘Rockies experience’,” states STI President William Campbell.  He continued, “Arena Turf’s inclusion in the projectspecifications and STI’s successful bid for this project solidify our position in the field turf arena.”
