Synthetic Turf International Hosts Annual Distributor Conference
Worldwide Distributors Attend Jupiter, Florida, Gathering
March 8, 2006, Jupiter, FL—Synthetic Turf International (“STI”), a global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic surfaces, recently hosted its 2006 Distributor Conference. The fourth annual conference was held February 23rd-25th in Jupiter, Florida.
Representatives from STI’s manufacturing supply facility located in Dalton, Georgia, addressed the state of the synthetic turf industry. Experts in the athletic field industry presented a segment on the new design-build concept for athletic and municipal fields. Additional topics of discussion included new products, public relations, marketing, distributor support, safety standards and deflection tolerance testing of synthetic turf. Deflection tolerance testing determines a synthetic surface’s ability to reduce and dissipate the energy of an impacting body.
The annual conference united STI’s global distributors, representing key markets in the United States, Canada, Germany, France, England, Spain and South Africa. This interactive forum highlights the growth of STI’s product line across international markets. The distributors are part of the company’s strategy to address the growing demand for synthetic products. “As a growing company, we look forward to hosting this event each year because it gives us an opportunity to spend time with our distributors and learn about the local service and support needs of their respective geographic locations,” states STI President William Campbell. “The conference also gives our distributors the opportunity to share their insights with fellow distributors.” A highlight of the conference was the annual distributor awards dinner in which distributors were recognized for top and most improved sales.
Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Jupiter, Florida, STI is the industry leader, supplying synthetic putting greens and related synthetic surfaces to country clubs, public and private golf clubs, teaching facilities and short game academies. The company holds longstanding endorsement relationships with David Leadbetter and Jim McLean, two of the golf industry’s best known and most sought after instructors. STI also supplies synthetic surfaces for other sports, such as football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, lawn bowling, bocce and other sports utilizing play fields.
STI has a comprehensive network of distributor partners, throughout the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, England and South Africa.
