Edgewood Golf Committee Selects Synthetic Turf International
Senior Residential Community Provides Putting Green for Residents
North Andover, Massachusetts
February 17, 2006, Jupiter, FL—Synthetic Turf International (STI), a global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic putting greens and related synthetic surfaces, recently completed installation of a synthetic putting green at Edgewood, a senior residential community located in North Andover, Massachusetts. The project was facilitated in conjunction with Leicester, Massachusetts-based, Minuteman Synthetic Turf.
The 1,100 square foot project encompassed the installation of a seven-hole putting green, the most recent addition to a wide array of activities enjoyed by Edgewood residents. The putting surface was constructed utilizing STI’s exclusive nylon NP 50 turf and NF 75 fringe. Edgewood’s golf committee selected STI’s realistic putting surface after conducting extensive research which included a trip to STI’s Jupiter, Florida, headquarters. Edgewood selected STI’s putting surface over a standard sand-filled polyethelene green due to its premium putting ability, true roll, natural look, feel and virtually maintenance-free durability. The project also included the construction of a flower bed border.
Commenting on the project, STI President William Campbell states, “We are pleased to have been chosen for this project. The citizens of Edgewood are very active in their community. They conducted a thorough search to find a putting green that would complement the many amenities already available. We are happy we could provide exactly what they were looking for.”
Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Jupiter, Florida, STI is the industry leader, supplying synthetic putting greens and related synthetic surfaces to country clubs, public and private golf clubs, teaching facilities and short game academies.
