Synthetic Turf International Supports Local Charity Golf Event
JM Lexus Deliver the Dream

November 1, 2005, Jupiter, FL—Synthetic Turf International (STI), global synthetic turf supplier and installer of premium synthetic putting greens and related synthetic surfaces, supplied a modular portable putting green for the 4th Annual JM Lexus Charity Golf Tournament, Deliver the Dream.

The event, held at Boca Lago Country Club, benefits Deliver the Dream, a not-for-profit organization which serves individuals and families facing serious illness or crisis.  Proceeds from the event facilitate retreat programs in which families of seriously ill children or parents learn coping skills, reduce stress and cultivate relationships in addition to participating in traditional recreational activities including hiking, swimming, fishing, art and music.  Therapeutic workshops and peer discussion groups are also integrated into the program.

The charity event included several contests, raffle prizes, a silent auction and prizes for the top teams.  One lucky golfer was the recipient of STI’s modular putting green.  Designed for use inside or outside, STI’s modular green is durable, weather-resistant, UV protected and color safe.  Designed to replicate bent grass, STI putting turf can be placed over a flat surface or a lawns’ existing contours.  Breaks are easily created and changed by placing foam contour mats under the turf.

Established by JM Family Enterprises, Inc.’s Chairman of the Board, Pat Moran, in 1998, Deliver the Dream launched its first Respite and Retreat Weekend in the fall of 2002.  To date, a total of 23 retreat weekends have assisted more than 1,300 family members throughout the Southeast.  The organization continues to offer family weekend retreats as funding allows.  Speaking of the event, STI President William Campbell states, “We are happy to support a family-minded organization such as Deliver the Dream.  Families are the backbone of a community.  What can possibly be more rewarding than involvement in a program that benefits entire families in time of need by uniting them and solidifying relationships, all the while allowing them for forget their stresses, if only for a weekend?”
